I am beyond grateful I have not suffered from MENTAL health issues. 😁

I was 14 when someone close to me took their life as they couldn’t see their way out of the black hole. I was too young to understand…. Even now, it’s tough to really get my head around. ☹️

Who hasn’t been touched by something similar?

Too many people get caught in the prickly, rough, painful, heavy-handed grip of mental illness. And once in the grasp, it is painful for them try to loosen the hold.. finger by finger. And just when they feel they are getting there, it takes a tight grip again.

Because we can’t see this illness - most people present as ‘happy normal’ people - it is hard to understand, let alone diagnose.

There’s no rash, runny nose or fever. 🤧

If I’m feeling stressed or down, I’ll hit the pavement, go for a run, take a hug from Mother Nature… Endorphines can not be underestimated.

So, for the last three weeks I’ve been doing push ups for @pushforbetter with a group of cycle buddies to raise money for Mental Health.

Yep, I’ve done the push ups, but I’ve been pretty rubbish at getting $$. And that’s what they need. Taking to the streets of Bangkok’s Art District to get a taste of the young, emerging artists and street artists. So much colour. So much talent. So much fun!

This artwork was created with a chisel depicting a collection of local characters.

6 weeks ago I had 200 PDO Threads injected into my cheeks and nasalabial folds to rejuvenate and lift my face.

The entire process took 45 mins.

I know, it looks painful (it wasn’t too bad) and yes I did bruise… which lasted two weeks.

My skin has definitely tightened and the best part, the threads stimulate collagen production. Collagen is what provides the structure of our skin. As we age, collagen production slows (like most things!!) and our skin sags.

8 years is about how much younger my skin now feels (10 would have been a cliche!!!).

I didn’t really think about AGEING… until I started to Age!

Thankfully, there’s a lot we can do to dictate the way we age. @boldhealthplus have created a ‘pro-ageing’ health powder packed with plant protein, fibre, antioxidants and other nutrients an ageing body needs.

It’s vegan, Aussie made, and made with the goal that even as you get older you don’t have to be ‘old’ 👵🏻

Quick ‘old’ check….

☑️Can you touch your toes?

☑️Can you sit on the floor cross-legged and stand up without using your hands or uncrossing your legs?

☑️Can you jump up onto a 40cm step (both feet together)?

☑️Can you do a pull up?

☑️can you do 10 pushups (on knees)?

☑️ Can you do 10 full sit-ups without swinging or using your arms?

If you answered no to any of these… hmmmm, you need to start rectifying the situation.
